We were so well taken care of by all the members of the Themba Travel team. I particularly liked our guide Nick, who was knowledgeable and made the game drives very interesting. We saw 3 out of the big five and many other beautiful and fascinating animals. Still, I also appreciated and loved learning about the birds, tracking of animals, the medicinal value of plants in reserve

I enjoyed communicating with a wide range of people working in the wildlife sector, ranging from students to qualified wildlife vets and monitors.

I enjoyed learning about the conservation project’s efforts, and day to day activities which further improve the wellbeing and lives of the cheetahs. I also enjoyed having hands on experience helping, by assisting when the vet was on site, as well as with feeding and enrichment building for the animals.

My experience in one word...’ Brilliant’ What I enjoyed most about my Volunteering holiday, was being part of a program to protect endangered cheetahs and ensure their health and well-being whilst at the centre. The accommodation, meals, transportation and practical assistance was all very good and I would highly recommend Themba Travel.

We loved our guesthouse in Cape Town. The location was excellent, the quality of accommodation was high and the staff were very welcoming and thoughtful. The breakfast was lovely. Our tour guide and driver on a number of days was kind and knowledgeable. We enjoyed meeting him. The walking tour in Paarl with Hybre was wonderful. She is passionate, knowledgeable and fun, Amy enjoyed spending time with her, and her cousin. The Garden Route Safari camp was spectacular as a final destination for our trip.

It is indeed an honor and a pleasure for me to be affiliated with Themba Travel. It means a lot to our local community that visitors from the UK show interest in our heritage and culture. I am looking forward to working with Chantal in 2024.
