Only a hours drive from Cape Town, the West Coast is known for its glistening windswept beaches, heritage fishing villages, rich geographical diversity and its beautiful succulents and spring wildflowers. During August and September, West Coast National Park bursts into a vast array of colour as Spring brings with it a landscape of flowering fynbos and veld.
Your 4-night, 5-day tour will give you another perspective of Cape Town. The West coast is a hidden gem filled with delightful little towns like Saldanha, Paternoster, St. Helena Bay, Hopefield, Darling, and Langebaan to name a few… The white sand beaches surrounding the clear waters of the Langebaan Lagoon are one of the main attractions of Langebaan. The mild climate and protected waters of the lagoon make Langebaan popular for sailing, kayaking, kitesurfing, and fishing, and the town offers numerous holiday facilities for water sport enthusiasts.
The tour is designed to give you an insight and appreciation of the Indigenous people of South Africa and experience the peaceful nature and warm hospitality of the West coast. Visitors flock to the West Coast National Park to be treated to magnificent displays by Southern Right whales passing the sea shores during August and September. It’s magnificent beaches, tranquility and beautiful landscapes transport visitors to another world. Community events include the church bazaar and the annual Langebaan Mussel Festival, which takes place on the first weekend of October. There is plenty to do in this part of the world!

Upon arrival at Cape Town International Airport, your driver will take you to your first accommodation on the West Coast. Enjoy the hospitality of the staff who are mostly from the Indigenous people of the South Africa.
Learn about their culture and heritage through one of their immersive tours. A hearty meal infused by indigenous plants and produce will give you an even greater understanding about this 100 000-year-old culture. Here you may find yourself staying up all night, chatting under starlight, making friends who last a lifetime.
After breakfast, you can explore the surroundings. There are running, hiking and biking trails to suit all tastes or gentler trails around the werf.
Explore the West Coast national park and surroundings which will dazzle you with its unspoilt, scenic landscape. Between August and September the park brightens up with wild flowers everywhere you loo. Lunch will be in the town of Langebaan, known for its active water sports vibe.
After breakfast, we drive a straight road into Paternoster, one of the oldest fishing villages on the West Coast of South Africa. It is known for its white-washed fishermen’s cottages.
Arrive at the first sustainable guest house situated along the pristine beach. Located right on the beach, you can take long walks. The little village has amazing small restaurant where you can enjoy lunches and dinners.
After a delightful breakfast prepared by the beautiful local women of the guest house, there are some activities to enjoy, handpicked by accommodation. You can go on a E-Bike tour along the beach, walk to the nature reserve, enjoy an early morning guided sea kayaking tour or even horse riding on the beach.
